non-space or aesthetic of autonomy

Autonomy and authenticity in society are limited and undermined by capitalistic regulation. The opponent role of artistic operations is critically discussed as they are evaluated and functionalized by structures of the ruling system and marginalized in the social consciousness. It has to be investigated how research and activities in the field of aesthetics provide condition of possibilities of autonomous decisions and can insist on the transformation process.

In artistic operations, the non-space, as an open space of the artwork through its poesis, is one of the possibilities of getting aware and conscious to the point to initiate the transformation process. In artistic research and operation is scrutinized the given context and elements within to build up strategies for autonomy and authenticity. (…)

The body as text: social body

Movements as knowledge transmittal is an ancient writing method. Text as movement is traceless and communicates unlike the mere intellect to other spheres of the human being.

In the age of instant communication technologies, Western cultures begin to approach the polysemic and simultaneous communication systems of non-Western cultures. Consequently, the hubris of the alphacentric and hierarchical Western civilization yields towards the awareness of diversity and connectivity affecting science, the social and environmental sphere. Architecture is also an enormous topic of which I’d like to sketch only a view lines, just to understand with which basic elements I work.

Spaces in architecture have functionality. These spaces are designed with a specific purpose. They correspond to basic needs as protection against environmental influences like rain and temperature and we need structured spaces for our diverse activities. (…)

Imprisoned Codes

Very often I had the opportunity to meet Palestinians who had been political detainees in Israeli prisons. In talks and interviews was referred to the communication and educational situations in the prisons, which became a leitmotif in the interviews. Never before I have perceived the existential dimensions of communication and learning praxis. Also, I became aware, that there is something more going beyond material or psychological survival. (…)
